Editor-In Chief 

Dr. Manuri Brahmayya

Dr. Manuri Brahmayya completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry from Andhra University (AU), Visakhapatnam, in 2007. He subsequently joined the research group of Prof. B. Venkateswara Rao in the Department of Engineering Chemistry, Andhra University, where he pursued his doctoral research and was awarded the Ph.D. degree in 2013.

Following his doctorate, Dr. Brahmayya pursued extensive international postdoctoral research in Taiwan. His first Postdoctoral Fellowship (2013–2014) was under the supervision of Prof. M. L. Wang at Hungkuang University, where he conducted research in Phase Transfer Catalysis. He then joined National Chung Hsing University for his second Postdoctoral Fellowship (2014–2017) under the guidance of Prof. S. Y. Suen. Subsequently, he completed his third Postdoctoral Fellowship (2017–2018) under Prof. H. T. Liao at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH), Chang Gung University, Taipei. In 2019, he undertook his fourth Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taipei, under the supervision of Dr. Cheng-Chung Wang.

After returning to India, Dr. Brahmayya joined Sri Sai Srinivasa (SSS) College, Salur, as an Assistant Professor (August 2019 – August 2022). Driven by his passion for research, he later worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (September 2022 – February 2024) on a Biotechnology Project (Traditional Medicine) at the Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Currently, Dr. Brahmayya serves as Research Associate Professor at MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT), Hyderabad, India.

Dr. Brahmayya is an active member of several professional scientific organizations, including the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He received the Best Research Article Award (2019) from the Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers (Elsevier) and the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2016) from the South African Journal of Chemical Engineering (Elsevier).

He serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several SCI, SCIE, ESCI, and Scopus-indexed international journals. His research interests encompass organic synthesis, phase transfer catalysis, sonochemistry, heterogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials, biomass valorization, green chemistry, and traditional medicine. To date, he has authored more than 40 research articles published in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals.

 

Associate Editor

Dr. Arun Lal Srivastav is working as Professor and Associate Dean (Research), Tula’s Institute (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He received PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. He has also done post-doctoral research at National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan. He is currently involved in the teaching of Environmental Science and Engineering, Disaster Management to the undergraduate engineering students. His research interests include water quality surveillance, climate change, water treatment, river ecosystem, soil health maintenance, engineering education, phytoremediation and waste management. Under his supervision, 3 PhD degrees have been awarded. He has published  >150 research papers in various prestigious journals (Elsevier, Springer, IWA, Taylor & Francis etc.) including books, book chapters and conference publications. He has edited many books with Elsevier, Springer, NOVA, IGI global and Wiley. Additionally, he is also one of the series editors of Elsevier and Nova publisher on energy sustainability and e-waste management, respectively. He worked on 04 Government sponsored projects (worth ~16 million INR) on phytoremediation, adsorption, capacity building, organic farming, leachate treatment, agro-waste management etc. He received the prestigious "Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE) Fellowship" followed by a research grant from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India in 2022. He has also filed 31 patents on multidisciplinary topics and 14 out of which have been granted by the Government of India. He has also been recognized among the top 2% worldwide scientists of Earth and Environmental Sciences jointly by Stanford University and Elsevier in the year 2023, 2024 and 2025. Recently, his name has been included in top 0.05% scholars of the year 2025 by ScholarGPS in Environmental Sciences.

Dr. Ramaraju Bendi received his Bachelor Degree, Master Degree and PhD from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India in 2004, 2006 and 2011, respectively. After 1.5 years of postdoc research in IIT Hyderabad, India he moved to Taiwan and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Oct 2012-Sept 2013) and National Taiwan Normal University (Oct 2013-July 2014). After that he moved to NTU, Singapore as a postdoctoral research fellow in School of Material Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (Sept 2014 to June 2017). After his postdoc tenure he worked as a Sr. Manager for QC and R&D, Shan Poornam SDN BHD, Penang, Malaysia (2017-18) and served as an Associate Professor, Aditya Institute of Technology, Tekkali, Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, India (2018-21). At present he is working as an Assistant General Manager, R&D Neogen Chemicals and he is working on Lithium-ion battery materials.  He published his research work in several international journals and patents. His research work includes the Nanomaterials for Energy and Electronics applications, Energy and Environmental applications with DBD Plasma, Carbon materials, heterogeneous catalysis, Photocatalysis and waste management.

Dr. Muni Kumar Dokka

Dr. Muni Kumar Dokka is an accomplished Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the School of Allied and Healthcare Sciences, Malla Reddy University, Hyderabad, with over 14 years of research experience and 12 years of teaching expertise. His research encompasses diverse areas within Clinical Biochemistry, Enzymology, Protein Chemistry, Microbial Biotechnology, and Nanobiotechnology. He is particularly recognized for his in-depth investigations on Protease inhibitors and their therapeutic potential, including anticancer, antimicrobial, and insecticidal activities. Dr. Muni Kumar earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and subsequently completed a prestigious UGC-sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship at Andhra University. He is a  Gold Medalist at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published over 45 research articles in peer-reviewed Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals, contributed to two international book chapters, and has presented more than 50 scientific papers at national and international conferences. His academic contributions have been acknowledged through several accolades, including the Young Scientist Award by the Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences (2016), the Agro Environmental Development Society (2020), and the Best Faculty Award (2022). In addition to his research and teaching accomplishments, Dr. Muni Kumar serves as a peer reviewer for multiple scientific journals and possesses strong technical proficiency in advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques, including HPLC, ELISA, PCR and SDS-PAGE

Mr. G. Sai Kumar

Mr. G. Sai Kumar is a dedicated member of the Technical Team of the Journal of Carbon Catalysis. He is responsible for managing the journal's digital infrastructure and ensuring the smooth functioning of the online publishing platform. He provides technical support to authors, reviewers, and editors, resolves system-related issues, and oversees website maintenance. He also assists in implementing new features, maintaining data security, and enhancing the overall user experience. His commitment and technical expertise contribute significantly to the journal's efficient and reliable publication process.

 

Mr. K. Madhu

Mr. K. Madhu serves as a Technical Team Member for the Journal of Carbon Catalysis. He is responsible for maintaining the journal's website, monitoring system performance, and providing timely technical assistance to editorial users. He supports the implementation of website updates, ensures the stability of online services, and helps maintain a secure and accessible publishing environment. Through his technical knowledge and proactive approach, he plays an important role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of the journal's digital platform.
